Information is the heart of every organization and the computer industry has become known as the Information Technology Industry. This is for good reason as computers effectively manage and give access to information. As the availability of information has grown so has the demand for specific management information. The result is that organizations need to change their structure and the way they conduct business. Mr. Brabant offers over 35 years of Information Technology experience helping companies adapt technology to their organizations, and helping organizations adapt to technology. He is familiar with all forms of technology from PCs to large mainframes and now the Internet. His diverse business and public sector experience includes:

Mr. Brabant has provided project management, business analysis, workflow analysis and design, strategic planning and management services to a variety of clients. He is an effective manager with proven leadership and organization skills who has successfully rebuilt and revitalized organizations.

Prior to forming Cognition Management Inc., Mr. Brabant was employed by Wang Canada Limited. His positions and responsibilities ranged from sales and marketing roles to project and branch management. At different times during his career with Wang, Mr. Brabant was responsible for both operational and financial management of the Calgary, Saskatchewan, and Victoria branches.His leadership skills revitalized the Victoria and Saskatchewan support organizations. During his employment with Wang, he was recognized three times for his management skills including being named top manager in Canada. Other responsibilities included contract negotiation and management, working with clients to evaluate their business needs and implementing new technology.

At the onset of his career at Sasktel and then Altel Data (a division of Alberta Government Telephones), Mr. Brabant delivered technical services in a fledgling IT industry.

With Altel Data he soon moved to systems sales and eventually to managing the sales operation for southern Alberta. He worked extensively with diverse system technologies, clients and application software including financial applications, job costing and payroll systems. He developed a broad range of experience working with clients to determine their business needs, developing new business processes and the implementing new systems into their operations.
